Boys Lacrosse
Mission Statement
The YAC Boys Lacrosse program is designed to provide a safe, fun and challenging learning environment, developing the lacrosse skills of Pre-K through 8th grade boys. Use the resources and experience of our Town's legacy of lacrosse excellence and coaching knowledge to teach and grow the sport while fostering a love of the game. Ensure that anyone can participate and if they give full effort reach their ultimate potential.
Each level offers a different degree of competitiveness, but all strive to build an appreciation of the sport, gain an understanding of sportsmanship, and learn what it means to be part of a team.
Important Info
Returning players should use the Jersey previously issued or can purchase one separately at Sportsbarn (details to follow). 3rd graders and new players (4th thru 8th grade) will be issued a Jersey. All players MUST register for their current grade. Players are not allowed to play up and will be rostered accordingly. Players who go to school outside of Yorktown require commissioner approval to be assigned to an A team (where applicable).
YAC Boys Spring 2026 Lacrosse Programs
Pre K - 1st grade Lacrosse Clinic
When: Sunday March 29th through May 31st; 9AM to 10:15AM (7 sessions)
3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/17, 5/31
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Skills clinic providing age-appropriate fundamental instruction.
Requirements: Pre K through 1st grade only requires a stick to play (please no fiddle stix’s). Lacrosse gloves are highly recommended for 1st graders.
Pre-K registrants must turn 5 by 12/1/26.
Additional Info: No clinic on 4/5 (Easter), 5/10 (Mother’s Day) & 5/24 (Memorial Day).
Cost: $210 including $20 YAC registration fee.
2nd grade Lacrosse Clinic
When: Sunday March 29th through May 31st; 9AM to 10:15AM (7 sessions)
3/29, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/17, 5/31
Additional 1 hour practice during week (time and place TBD)
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Skills clinic providing age-appropriate fundamental instruction. A few instruction based scrimmages.
Requirements: Full gear required which includes Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Protector & Elbow Pads.

3rd and 4th Grade In-House Yorktown Championship Series (YCS)
Year 4 of our very successful In-House league. Who will lift the Rob Kavovit belt this season? Get ready for a fun, highly competitive season where 4 teams battle it out for bragging rights.
When: Practice Mon/Wed 5pm to 6:30pm. In-House games Fri 8pm to 9:30pm
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Clinic style practice with introduction to strategy and positional development. Full in-house league with playoffs and championship. A few travel games against neighboring towns and participation in tournaments.
Requirements: Full gear required which includes Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Protector, Elbow Pads, Mouth Guard and Cup.
Additional Info: 3rd graders and new 4th graders will receive a Yorktown Jersey.
Cost: $325 including $20 YAC registration fee.
5th Grade – 8th Grade Field Lacrosse
When: Practice Mon/Wed
6:30PM to 8PM (5th/6th Grade)
8PM to 9:30PM (7th/8th Grade)
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
7th/8th Grade has practice at Granite Knolls II on Wednesdays
What: Team format TBD based on registration numbers and experience. All teams/players will have appropriate practice plans to improve fundamentals and develop skill sets. A minimum of (8) games and (2) tournaments.
Requirements: Full gear: All boys will need a Lacrosse helmet, stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, cup and mouth guard.
Additional Info: New players will receive a Yorktown Jersey.
Cost: $325 including $20 YAC registration fee.
