Boys Lacrosse
YAC Boys Lacrosse is designed to provide a safe, fun, developmental program for children in grades Pre K-8th. Each level offers a different degree of competitiveness, but all strive to develop a child’s love for the game so that he can appreciate every aspect of the sport, gain an understanding of sportsmanship, and learn what it means to be part of a team.
All participants 3rd - 8th grade must be members of USA Lacrosse to register.
Incoming 3rd graders and new players (4th thru 8th grade) will receive a Jersey.
Returning players please use the Jersey issued last year.
All participants will receive Yorktown Lacrosse Shorts and Tee Shirt.
YAC Boys Spring 2025 Lacrosse Programs
Pre K - 1st grade Lacrosse Clinic
When: Sunday March 30th through June 1st; 9AM to 10:15AM (7 sessions)
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Skills clinic providing age-appropriate fundamental instruction.
Requirements: Pre K through 1st grade only requires a stick to play (please no fiddle stix).
Lacrosse gloves highly recommended for 1st Graders.
Pre-K registrants must turn 5 by 12/1/25.
Additional Info: No clinic on 4/20 (Easter), 5/11 (Mother’s Day) & 5/25 (Memorial Day).
Cost: $210 including $20 YAC registration fee.
2nd grade Lacrosse Clinic
When: Sunday March 30th through Saturday May 31st; 9AM to 10:15AM (or otherwise noted)
Additional 1 hour practice during week (time and place TBD)
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Skills clinic providing age-appropriate fundamental instruction. A few instruction based games and participation in the Yorktown Murphy Tournament on 5/31/25.
Requirements: Full gear required which includes Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Protector & Elbow Pads.

Cost: $210 including $20 YAC registration fee.
3rd and 4th Grade In-House Yorktown Championship Series (YCS)
Year 3 of our very successful In-House league. Who will lift the Rob Kavovit belt this season? Get ready for a fun, highly competitive season where Cortland, Duke, Marist and Siena battle it out for bragging rights.
When: Practice Mon/Wed 5pm to 6:30pm. In-House games Fri 8pm to 9:30pm
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
What: Clinic style practice with introduction to strategy and positional development. Full in-house league with playoffs and championship. A few travel games against neighboring towns and participation in (3) tournaments including the Yorktown Murphy Tournament on 5/31/25.
Requirements: Full gear required which includes Stick, Helmet, Gloves, Chest Protector, Elbow Pads, Mouth Guard and Cup.
Additional Info: 3rd graders and new 4th graders will receive a Yorktown Jersey.
Cost: $325 including $20 YAC registration fee.
5th Grade – 8th Grade Field Lacrosse
When: Practice Mon/Wed
6:30PM to 8PM (5th/6th Grade)
8PM to 9:30PM (7th/8th Grade)
Where: Woodlands Legacy Fields 3100 Strang Blvd Yorktown Hgts, NY 10598
7th/8th Grade has practice at Granite Knolls II on Wednesdays
What: Ability based teams traveling to various Hudson Valley locations to meet similar competition. Player evaluations will occur in March to maximize development and competitiveness. All teams/players will have appropriate practice plans to improve fundamentals. A minimum of 8 games and (3) tournaments including the Yorktown Murphy Tournament on 5/31/25.
Requirements: Full gear: All boys will need a Lacrosse helmet, stick, shoulder pads, arm pads, gloves, cup and mouth guard.
Additional Info: New players will receive a Yorktown Jersey.
Cost: $325 including $20 YAC registration fee.
