2025/2026 Champions

Our program celebrated an incredible 2025 season across multiple age levels in the Greater Hudson Valley Softball League. This summer, both our 14U and 16U teams rose to the top of their divisions, earning the Summer 2025 Greater Hudson Valley Softball Championships with outstanding teamwork, determination, and championship-level play. Earlier in the year, our youngest athletes set the tone for success—our 8U team captured the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 Greater Hudson Valley Softball League Championship, showcasing skill development, sportsmanship, and a love of the game that reflects the heart of our program. We are proud of all our players and coaches for representing our organization with excellence and bringing home three league titles in one remarkable year.

Travel Teams

Welcome to the Travel Softball Program at YAC Girls Softball!

In addition to our In-House League, YAC Girls Softball offers a competitive Travel Program designed for players seeking a higher level of play and development.

Age Divisions

Travel teams are offered at the following levels:

Players must attend tryouts to be considered for a travel team. Roster spots are limited and selection is competitive.

Program Timeline

The Travel Program runs from Fall 2026 through the end of Summer 2027.

Fall season activities begin in 2026
Spring In-House participation occurs in 2027
Summer competition concludes the travel cycle

Program Requirement

Players selected for the Travel Program must also participate in the In-House Spring 2027 program as part of their commitment to the full travel season cycle.

Season Overview

League games are typically within a 45-minute travel radius
Tournament play may require additional travel and may include overnight stays
Families should plan accordingly for travel commitments throughout the year

8U Program Details

The 8U division follows a local competitive format and is not tournament-based. This age group will compete in:

The Greater Hudson Valley Softball League
Games against other town teams
Playoff competition during both the Fall and Summer seasons

Practices & Commitment

There are typically 1–2 practices per week, in addition to scheduled games throughout the fall and summer seasons.

Commitment is essential to team success. Consistent attendance at practices and games supports player development, team chemistry, and overall performance.

Each player is allowed one excused missed practice without penalty.

Practice Attendance Policy

Second missed practice: Player will bat at the bottom of the lineup and will not play in the field for that game
Third missed practice: Player will sit out one full game

Game Attendance Policy

First missed game: Player will bat at the bottom of the lineup and will not play in the field for the next game
Additional missed games: May result in sitting out one game unless roster needs require participation

Coaches may consider individual circumstances when applying these guidelines.

Player Health & Safety

Player health and safety are a top priority. Players who are sick or not feeling well should remain home from practices and games to protect teammates, coaches, and families.

Fees & Tournament Information

Please note that the In-House Spring 2027 program is a required separate registration and is not included in the Travel Program fee.

Tournament participation varies by age division and availability:

10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U teams will be entered into two tournaments during the program cycle
8U teams will not participate in tournaments

Additional tournaments may be added at the discretion of the organization based on scheduling and availability.
